    MY CHILD

I GAVE YOU LIFE, YOU ARE A PART OF ME

I LOVE YOU THATS HOW IT WILL ALWAYS BE

I RAISED YOU THE BEST I COULD

WITH NO DADDY, I THINK I DID REAL GOOD

YOU MAKE ME PROUD TO BE YOUR MOTHER

LIFE WAS HARD AND TIMES WERE TOUGH

BUT WE MADE IT NO MATTER HOW ROUGH

YOU'RE ALL GROWN NOW AND LIFE HAS CHANGED

BUT MY LOVE FOR YOU WILL STAY THE SAME

    ALWAYS REMEMBER IN YOUR HEART

IS WHERE I'LL BE WHEN WE'RE APART

SHOULD SOMETHING HAPPEN BEFORE I SEE YOU AGAIN

YOU KNOW I'VE LOVED YOU SINCE YOUR LIFE BEGAN

this is a really great poem

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
