    O' To My Love

    O’ To My Love

    O’ to my love
For you have departed from me
    Gone from my entity
    Although you were never tangible
I miss you with all the strength and courage my blemished heart can withstand
My mind feels sorrow for my soul
    It failingly attempts to forget
Forget the warmness you once brought to my cheeks
Forget that joy that once filled the empty orifice with in me
    O’ to my love
For you have departed from me
What was once known as my heart
    Is now merely throbbing flesh
My pulsating organ only keeps me here
    Here where I am left
    Left by you my love
Left to dwell in the past
    O’ to my love

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
