Non-Violent Peace

Non-Violent Peace

Dr. King was a man whom we should be proud,
But people are afraid to say it out loud.
They seem to forget there was a man,
Who always believed in the promise land.
For non-violent peace he always stood,
To be like him, I wish we could.
For a great man is gone and really missed,
Try non-violent peace and not your fist.
So remember this man and be very proud,
And don't be afraid to say it out loud.
Children thank God for this man and say,
We thank you for this non-violent way.
I hope people always look and never cease,
For the only way is Non-Violent Peace!

I really love your poem. I agree with you as well. He believed in peace and he died because of it. I wish everyone could just get along.

I know the way things are during these trying times, now more than ever, more people need to practice non-violent peace.

You are very right. I try to keep the peace in everything. Including the family I divorced. Am I crazy or what?

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
