A Sunset

As the wind blows softly in the night,
Above a sunset, OH!, what a sight.
To see the sky so brown and gray,
And mustard yellow, almost like hay.
The air is clear, fresh and clean,
The full new moon has yet to be seen.
There are birds flying in the air,
And I watched them floating without a care.
For I really love this peace of mind,
And worry that so many are blind.
So when you're looking at the sky,
Thank God for it and don't wonder why.

Because God created all of this land,
For every woman, child and man.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
