  • I've been gone for quit some time but I'm back and ready to write more poetry.

Nobody

I went out walking one night
trying to clear my head,
I came upon this little girl
beautiful little girl was she,
I asked her "honey are you lost?"
She looked up at me with
the saddest blue eyes I'd ever seen.
With tears running down her checks
she sad to me
"I'm nobody.
Who Who are you?
Are you nobody too?"
I was stricken with silince
as the words sunk in
I relized she was in torn and
tatterd cloths,
I saw the stricken look
and knew knew just then
she was a victim
a victim that.........that
I couldn't help it was to late
the bad had alredy became
easier to believe then the good.
I guess that God knew what to do
for the next morning in the paper
I saw that same little girls face
the paper said can you help
tell us who this little girl was
no one knew her name not even me
and as I read the words there on the page
her voice came back to haunt with
the words she spoke to me.
"I'm nobody
Who Who are you?
Are you nobody too?"

so sad, but very good, I can not say I know how you feel on this one although sometimes I do feel like my life is not what it could have been, or what it could still be. and we all feel at times that we don't matter, but we do, do you know that you are considered to be more dear than anything, so precious that God was willing to send his son to earth to save us from sin, and to show us that we are somebody and our loved enough to die for. I hope my words bring encouragement and peace and that is my only intent

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
