My Special Angel
My Special Angel
A sparkle; a twinkle appeared in my eye,
as he moved in my womb I smiled and sighed,
a miracle of life would soon transpire
this sweet gift from God lifted my soul even higher
A son was to come and bless my young life
I hoped not to give him a life full of strife,
I prayed on high he would grow up to be
a wonderful man , so happy and free
So handsome, so kind, so special indeed
I hoped to give him all he would want and need
all that I had and more that I could
bestow on my angel to make his life good
He came into this world one October night
I pushed as I prayed with all of my might,
and into his dark wondering eyes I could see
an angel of magnificence gazing back at me
I watch him grow, experience and learn
the trials he encountered; and prides that he earned
as life’s happy moments shined on his face
I’d smile inside and thank God for his Grace
My precious little angel is now a man
I try to protect him the best that I can
the miles between us wear hard on our hearts
but those sweet moments in life we impart
Through phone calls, emails and a prayers sent above
we keep that connection of a Mother and son’s love
through happiness, trials and hardships and strife
we will always remain in each other’s life
He’s a man who is loving, caring, and giving
each time we speak I give a prayer of thanksgiving
He makes me proud everyday you see
It’s not his fault he is stubborn like me
He is funny and bright, intelligent and witty
he gives and helps others around his home city
whenever someone else is ever in need
he drops all he’s doing and helps with God Speed
I’m proud of the man that my son has become
A man , god’s helper, and best friend to some,
eighteen, thirty five or even one hundred and three
He will ALWAYS be my special angel to me!
