    Must Be

Must be a reason im still here.
    Heck of a day.I need a beer.
Old man left me for the maid.
    She looked like prunes and
    smelled like raid.
    Hey diiddy doo,how are you.
I was happy but now im blue.
Lets get together and drink some more.
Heres to my man and that little chore.
    Today its done.Tomorrow Im gone.
Moving on.Gonna sing a new song.
Heres to me and goodbye to you.
Out with the old and in with the new.
    Hey diddy doo,how are you
I was happy but now Im blue.
Lets get together and drink some more.
Heres to my man and that little chore.
Ill be fine just takes some time.
Today is gray but tomorrow will shine.
Yesterdays gone and tomorrow is near.
Go do your chores and goodbye dear.
    Hey diddy doo,how are you.
I was happy but now im blue.
Lets get together and drink some more.
Heres to my man and that little chore.

It feels like humor, but there is much angst in this piece. Very well written - 10 from me

You found humor in a difficult situation. Excellent expression. Took a grave experience and actually made me smile. Well done.

Nice job. I know the feeling in your poem. Been there, done that. Eventually, Time heals the wound. It's the scar that never goes away. Keep up the good work. TS

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
