Missing You
This is one of today's challenges from Flexwriter's Cafe'. We had to write about something or someone we miss for the holidays to come. Okay my poem is about me...you know the holidays are known for the lovers....well as an old song says, "what do the lonely do at christmas??" I am the life of the party with all my friends...(can you find that hard to believe...lol, anyway)...and everyone always wants me to come around, but they are married or in long term relationships...now normally I don't mind because...it is what it is...and I love my friends...but christmas and new years...i'm always left ALONE!!! Yes I have my kids, mother, father...but what about my own INTIMATE desires, needs or wants.....what about that. Enjoy......
Missing You
This holiday I'm missing a love I never knew
A love I think is searching for me and can't find his way
I'm missing the sensual touch of a loving man
Not one that can just "rock my world"
But someone who wants to build on my soul
I'm missing a love that's indescribable
Unexplainable
Undeniable
Twisted but straight
Wide but narrow
Deep but shallow
I'm missing a love I never knew
A love that's all mines
I'm missing a love that guides me when I'm in darkness
A love that consumes all negative thoughts
I want a lover that will pray with me
…pray for me
A love that will harbor my love
I'm missing that
I will miss that…him
Because he does not exist!
