    Miracles

    Tiny arms and tiny face.

What miracle brought you here to this place?

Lashes resting on plump little cheeks.

The angel we've waited 9 months to meet!

    Does she have my eyes?

    Does she have your nose?

Just look at those teeny little toes!

Who will she be when she is all grown?

This is a love unlike any I've ever known!

Bring in her brother and let him see.

Tell him this is how little he once used to be.

Let him touch her and kiss her hair.

Listen to him tell her that he will always be there.

Look around at the blessings you possess.

And remember to thank the One who has blessed.

Two wonderful miracles now snuggle nearby.

And all too soon, the years begin to fly by.

Laugh, cuddle, and dance in the rain.

Make memories that you can enjoy again and again.

Pull their covers up just once more tonight.

Hug the man who helped make these miracles just right.

Protect this family from any and all harm.

Wrap them soundly in Your strong and powerful arms.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
