Millions of lives...
A woman she cries all alone in the night.
Her lover's long gone,
noone to hold her tight.
And her baby...
Her baby's gone.
If she'd only waited just another day,
Now she knows she'd have found a way,
To find a home
with love
For her baby.
But her lover said it was the only way,
He wouldn't be tied down,
Not for a single day
And it'd be better this way.
He didn't want a baby.
Oh dear lord just look what we have done,
We've taken millions of lives in the name of freedom.
Where are the babies?
On the other side of town in the night.
A man holds his wife and tells her it's alright,
But still she cries.
"I'll never have a baby"
"We have a home full of love and a place to play...
A little room all bright and gay
If we could only have a child...
Our very own baby"
Oh dear lord just look what we have done.
We've taken millions of lives in the name of freedom.
Where are the babies?
Her lover's long gone,
noone to hold her tight.
And her baby...
Her baby's gone.
If she'd only waited just another day,
Now she knows she'd have found a way,
To find a home
with love
For her baby.
But her lover said it was the only way,
He wouldn't be tied down,
Not for a single day
And it'd be better this way.
He didn't want a baby.
Oh dear lord just look what we have done,
We've taken millions of lives in the name of freedom.
Where are the babies?
On the other side of town in the night.
A man holds his wife and tells her it's alright,
But still she cries.
"I'll never have a baby"
"We have a home full of love and a place to play...
A little room all bright and gay
If we could only have a child...
Our very own baby"
Oh dear lord just look what we have done.
We've taken millions of lives in the name of freedom.
Where are the babies?
