    The fall of soft rain,

    My arms on your shoulder,

So I can help with the pain,

It’s okay to cry, my love.

    I’m glad we’re both together,

    Wipe your tears,

    Forget the gray weather,

    I’ll sooth your heart.

Feel comfort as I hold you,

    You’re safe now.

There’s no reason to be blue,

    While we’re in the park.

You don’t have to be sad,

    Just sit close by, love,

    And you’ll soon feel glad,

    That you have me.

May 3rd should be dedicated to care and comforting concern. It would be special to spend an afternoon in the park within a haven of loving arms...Nice!

Glad you enjoyed it. Actually, it was inspired by a couple I observed out my window. I use the same story in the poem 'if it were real, make me stay' that was written in collaboration with user hippiegirl.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
