    Mascarade

    You are welcoming morning,
    Smiling to light
    And without a warning
    Innocence’s shining bright
    Eyes're opening wide
    Full of wonder and love
    You are breathing in life
    You are full of delight

If only I could shield you
    From the life's masquerade
If only I could hide you
    From the dark masks' parade

The invitation is coming, it’s in the mail
Soon you'll be putting a mask
    For the dark masquerade
    You'll be dancing in circles
    Of the life's labyrinths
    You'll be wearing cloaks
    Every day of the week

    You are laughing at something
    Looking up at a sky
    Stretching arms to the world
    Giving everyone love
    You are full of mischief,
    You’re abundance of light
    You are nature's best gift
    Given me from above

Another masterpiece. I love the flow. I like the line, "Given me from above" Great way to end the poem. Excellent job!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
