    Love's Thorns

    Live in my head now,
    A woman possessed,
    By the man she once knew,
    How she must have just left,

    Gathered her things up and called for a cab,
    He's planted in her now,
    A woman gone mad,

    She loved him with her heart,
    The demon inside,
    Who taunted with her,
    And laughed when she cried,

    Her scars screamed out,
    As she walked to the cab,
    And I ran up too her,
    And took hold of her hand,

    I told her a story,
    Of a brave young maiden,
    Who lived without fear,
    Washed her sins with the sand,

    That flowed through the waves,
    As they crashed on the rocks,
    Of the land where I witnessed,
    A love left unplanned,

    She started to cry,
    Her reflected tears shun,
    As they ran down her cheek,
    In the shimmering sun...
