Love, or So I Thought

Love, or So I Thought

You could say it was fate

but it really was not.

We met One,

Two, Three times

we conversed.

You could say it was

Coincidence because

it really was

Love. It was a love

to last or so I thought.

The way you caressed

And embraced me

helped me

to feel your love

to know your love

or made me think

I knew your love.

But, as time passed,

you gave no sign

of leaving

Me and you

Were together

One, Two, Three,

Four years of love.

Then, you left me.

You could’ve

Mentioned, You

could’ve told me

you were leaving.

You said it was

to make it easy

But it wasn’t easy.

One, Two, Three,

Four, Five days

I cried.

Five days I asked

Myself why would

He leave me After

One Two Three

Four years of love.

Years of confusion

And hurt, followed

By annoyance

and anger fueled

My darkened persona

And I was

Never the same as

when you loved me.
