Desperation
I crave the sustenance that is sleep
As my mind wanders and wanders
Through endless fields of excitement and rage
Time rips through my heart and soul
Feeding on what is mine; my own
Giving me reason to end this atrocity
The soul stops. It stares.
Stares into the dead eyes of eternity
Killed by none other than time itself
Enraged by what it sees
It’s beautiful creation, deep in the ground
No one can see like me
No one can breath like me
No one can fight like me
Step into the deep
Step into the field of yesterday
Give time a reason to have mercy
Mercy on our souls
Red
Red as blood
Red as wine
Blocks our senses
Feeds our minds
A journey into tomorrow
A journey into the night
Time slips back
Time glows bright
Keeps us on our feet
Only to push us down
Down
Into the pit
The pit of night
Dreams lead us to the end
The end of the glow
A golden glow
A golden mind grows within the weary
And steel resides within the strong
Pain inflicts us all
‘Tis a rose thorn which starts the fall
The fall of the many
The fall of the witch
The witch in which crafted time
The very same time which bleeds us
Which kills us
Which mends us
And
Which gives us
Security
Slipping down the slope
A slope with few obstacles
Not a cut
Not a bruise
Not even a scratch
Time slips back
Time glows bright
Drips sorrow through its eyes
It leaves puddles
Puddles and puddles of sadness
Sadness that never leaves
Sadness that never weakens
Melt
Melt away the fear
Melt the glass
That keeps us
From our love
That drips
Into our lives
Into our souls
Never to survive
