Love Letter
By: John R. Butcher
“Love Letter”
Last night I got a letter,
Post marked from your heart.
Inside you said, “you loved me,
Right from the very start.”
It began, by saying, “Baby”,
OH!! How I love you so,
And if you give me your Sweet Love,
I’ll never let you go.
I pondered on, the things you said,
After I, had read each line.
I read the letter, once again,
A new thought came to mind.
For I’ve never loved a woman,
The way that I love You.
I sometimes ask myself,
I wonder what I’d do.
If I’d never met you, Girl
Just where, would I be now
But deep inside, I know the truth
I’d be with you somehow
Because I know, that my Dear Lord,
He put You on my mind.
That’s when I knew, I’d love You,
Until the end of time.
