lord would you still love me

    .

Lord would you still love me if I chose to die? Would you forgive, and cradle me if I decided to say goodbye.

The currents are crashing so very hard on me; the tide is drowning me, and so I cry.

Lord would you still love me if I chose to die? Would you still accept me if from my life I throw aside.

The heartaches have me on my knees; begging in all agony that somehow you set me free. I am but just an outsider looking in; there is no for me here, my life light has grown very dim.

So I ask you would it be a sin for the freedom of choice to chose where I should live? Would it be a sin to throw this human life away, so that my real life can begin.

Lord would you wipe away the tears when I come pleading at your door? Would you still lift me up from a life that I made no more.

Torn between what is wrong, and what is right. Knowing life is a gift that should be cherished, but for me it isn’t that way.

Lord I am sorry. To me life here is ruining me. I don’t know who I am; or what I am supposed to be, all I know is human pain, and human misery.

So lord I ask one more time; would you still love me if I chose to die? Would you forgive, and cradle me if I decided to say goodbye

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
