Poem Commentary

The whole reason for this poem is to show my opinion on death. You may also see another meaning which is near the end after all the things I've been through in my life it seems as if I'm incomplete and my poetry and songwriting is what completes me. So thank you guys for all your support.

Live To Forget, Die To Forgive

As a strong young man
Wrapped in God's plan
I must carry on
But please oh please stay strong

Mother, don't you dare cry
For everything that lives has a time where it dies
And brother, don't you lie
Even your heart can not deny

That you want me there
But please do believe I trully care
I'm being levitated by these broken wings
Which are broken from the tears and empty dreams

For it was not by will for me to rest
For god hath stole the soul from my chest
And as they pile the dirt
I ask you to celebrate and never hurt

Goodbye to everything I used to know
I love you all even though it doesn't show
For it's time to sail the sea of death
It seems these words are all I have left

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
