    Listen

If for only for a second I could read your mind, what would you say to me

If for just a moment, I could hear your thoughts, what would I hear

If for just a minute I could feel your presence, what would I feel

If for just an hour I could have you next to me, would it be enough for you

If for just a month you could live in my world with me, would you love me

If we could spend the rest of lives together, would you have been truly happy with me?

Just to touch your skin one last time, complete loss is untouchable.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
