    Poem Commentary

I wrote this poem cause the man of my dreams wined me, dined me, asked me to marry him and then just one day decided that I wasn't what he wanted.

    Life

So many thoughts running thru my head
I don't know where they start or where they end
Life is full of heartache and pain
That it makes you wonder why you were even made
I try to deal with all this heartache and pain
But I feel as I am going insane
No matter what you do or how hard you try
Life makes you hide alone in the corner to cry
Guess that's why people have fairytale dreams
To take them away from life as it seems
Dreams are never meant to come true
After all they are just dreams no matter what you do

I would like to thank you for the hard work put into this powerful work. I believe that life should be a celebration. God is teaching us a great deal about how to enjoy life. Enjoyment of life is not based on enjoyable circumstances. It is an attitude of the heart, a decision to enjoy everything because everything-even little, seemingly insignificant things-have a part in the overall "big picture" of life. Never stop dreaming, they are your gateway to the future. Great job!

dreams can come true...find someone else who WILL adore who you are... and fulfill the needs you deserve. I like this poem...it is heartfelt, painful but so real. We all share bad times in our lives...god has been my saving grace...well said and written.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
