Lemonade
Gonna make some lemonade to refresh her heart I’ll use the lemons of life that left her so sour and tart Gonna add love’s sugar to balance her bitterness Squeezing her in my arms, I’ll be peeling her with tenderness Gotta press the hurt and pain away from her weary soul Gotta savor juice I strain and stir it in her bowl Gotta a mixture that I know will never grow old An elixir that will always satisfy the soul Good ole’ fashioned lemonade is like the kind mom always made Will never leave you jaded because it’s homemade and Good ole’ fashioned lemonade is like the kind mom always made That’s what her soul does crave; mama’s lemonade Gotta make some lemonade that won’t squirt any hurt By juicing chaos and strife while still quenching her every thirst Gotta let it chill and take the edge away Cause it’s this flavor she’ll crave for while savoring everyday Gotta press the hurt and pain away from her weary soul Gotta savor juice I strain and stir it in her bowl Gotta a mixture that I know will never grow old An elixir that will always satisfy the soul Good ole’ fashioned lemonade is like the kind mom always made Will never leave you jaded because it’s homemade and Good ole’ fashioned lemonade is like the kind mom always made That’s what her soul does crave; mama’s lemonade Copyright2010 by Kenneth ThompsonLemonade

Poem Commentary
This is all about taking life's lemons and making lemonade. We all have had to do it at on time or another. Nothing like some good ole' fashioned lemonade. ;-)

- Excellent description of squeezing lemon bitterness from a person's being and adding the ingredients to make lemonade through love and care. Well done.
