    Last Night

Last night I dreamed of the past

I dreamed of you and I as we were

I dreamed of wild horse thoughts that raced through the wilderness that is my mind of the love I feel for you

I dreamed of my thoughts controlling me as the mind should a body

I dreamed I created a rainbow of a masterpiece; none other than you, the face of my love re-animated out of a burst of love in remembrance

Last night I dreamed I did everything in my power to hear your voice

I dreamed I would not sleep unless my ears were satisfied with the sweet music that your voice, key to the lock of my lullaby

Last night I dreamed I talked you to sleep as I did in the past when we were burning with the passion that is love for one another at a time when gas for our fire was plentiful

Last night I dreamed of me dreaming of you, I woke up out of a dream while remaining in another as your every word echoed in my ear

Last night had to have only been a dream for you did not meet me this morning as we agreed

Did I dream alone of a suffocating heart relieved by words of a goddess or were you aid in my rescue

Did we indeed dream together, bring some facts and rest to the wondering mind of mine

I await your call love of my past
