    Just Little

    Little fingers and little toes,
    Little feelings and little foes.
Big blue eyes with no corruption,
    taking naps with no interruptions.
Little ears that hear so much,
    Little fingers exploring to touch.
Their little feet and little hands,
crawling all over exploring our lands.
Their little heads growing fast with smarts,
Their little bodies have such big hearts.
Because they may be little in their size,
But what they feel is the prize.
Their little hearts feel so much,
When they embrace your face just for touch.
    Their love is unconditional,
    Their minds are so emotional.
They can laugh a little while crying,
They can be screaming so loud as if they were dying.
They're just so little can't you see,
They mean so much to you and me.
They are our future nurture them well,
They are the ones who prevent us from being condemned to hell.
They show us that unconditional love lives within us,
    They're just little,
    just little,
    just.

I HAVE TWO KIDS AND I ENJOYED EVERY LITTLE MOMENT WHEN THEY WERE SMALL. NOW THEY ARE GROWING UP SO FAST AND EVEN THOUGH THEY AREN'T SMALL I STILL TREASURE EVERY MOMENT I GET TO SPEND WITH THEM. LOVE THIS POEM...

This poem made me smile. I do not have kids of my own but i am the oldest amongst my brothers and sister and it made me remember all the times i spent playing with them. If you have been around infants or have had a couple of your own i think this poem hits home.

I love it! I especially love the first 4 lines. "....taking naps with no interruptions..." HAHA. So true!

I really enjoyed this poem, I have 3 of mine own which I wish were still crawling around. Great job.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
