Imagination

There’s a world I can see,

When I close my eyes,

There’s a place I dream of,

Without any hate or despise.

It’s a place where the fairies are singing,

A song of love,

A place where majestic dragons fly,

And unicorns run wild.

It’s a place known only to me,

Others try, but still they cannot see,

The splendid beauty, from flowing golden rivers,

To melodic singing voices.

It’s a place with a shining gold moon,

Shedding love on the endless sand dunes,

A place with soft clouds beneath our feet,

And angels are singing my name.

So, to find this fascinating place,

Just go to the land of your imagination.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
