Im looking for you
Gazing at Atlanta’s skyline
Watching the sun play peek a boo
Through buildings seemingly touching the sky
Wondering if you have come and gone,
Or has my patience grown weary
that you will never come.
Stuck in the doorway of my patio
Arms clutched around my waist.
Where are you,
today should be a better day.
If you could only imagine
What your presence
In mine would alleviate.
The smiles, the warmth
Of conversations amongst
Due diligence of bodies coinciding
Of waking in each others grace.
The evening has taken its place in time
And reality has settle in my mind
That I’m looking for you
And in my heart you should take you place.
