Ignored Gift
Of all the beauty in the world
Something people all ignore
Something given to us from the lord
Something I feel that people should lore
The gift of nature form the lord
That few of us really adore
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
