Have You Ever Thought
Have you ever thought
Of the thing that makes you feel good,
Something you’ve never bought
If you could that would just be crude
It’s something that’s always there
No matter when or where
They help you to grow up
And they help you to learn right from wrong
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
