I Touched Love Once
I touched love once…
It was satin smooth and soft as silk.
It was warm sun rays gliding across your face.
It was laughter and happiness and passion and joy.
It was walking on the moon and kissing the stars.
It was the crackle of a fireplace on winter’s first snow.
I was summer rain pouring down on a hot muggy day.
It was that smile…
It was those eyes so filled with emotion and feeling.
It was watching the sunrise over the mountains.
It was springtime flowers overflowing with dew.
It was that picture which captured a joyous occasion.
It was a heartbeat next to mine, beating in time.
It was energy.
I touched love once…
The day that I touched you.
