    I SIMPLY DIDNT KNOW

                                      I SIMPLY DIDNT KNOW

    I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I COULD DO UNTIL I TRIED;
    THE LOVE FOR WHAT I DO I COULDNT HIDE.

    I DIDNT KNOW THAT I SUCEED WITH PASSION;
    THE DEVIL THROUGH ME FOR A LOOP, NOTHING SHORT OF A DISTRACTION.

    I DIDNT KNOW THAT I COULD LIVE OFF OF THE VISION OF OTHERS HAPPINESS;
    IT PAINS TO VIEW THOSE DETAILED PIECES OF SADINESS.

    I DIDNT KNOW THAT I COULD MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIER EYES;
    I SAT AND AT A GLANCE I SLOWLY PICKED AWAY AT THIER SILENT CRIES.

    I DIDNT KNOW THAT I COULD SEE MY NIGHTMARES TURN INTO A FULLFILLED DREAM;
    THE LOVE OF BUSINESS MAKES MY HEART SCREAM WITH THIS  THEME THAT COULD NEVER BE LOST.

    I DIDNT KNOW THAT I WOULD BE HERE BUT I AM;
    NOW YOU CAN STOP HATING AND GO ON .
    PAT YOURSELF ON THE BACK AND THINK THAT YOU HAVE WON.
    BUT YOU HAVE LOST IF YOU THINK THAT I DIDNT KNOW THAT WHATEVER I TOUCH IS WRITTEN AND DONE.

    I love what u wrote. Every word u felt it. This is a good poem.

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
