I KNOW A PLACE...

I KNOW A PLACE...

where the sun always shines
leaves glisten like gold
a warm breeze dances across fields
as tall grass sways to and fro
where streams flow like music
the sky has a rainbow
where dreams are created
and anyone can go
It may be a secret garden
an endless blooming beauty
a warm and sandy beach
or a little fishing hole
A place we all have shared
A place we often go
We thought about it,
dreamed it,
and actually even live it
Oh the beauty that we share it
especially when we need it
what a miracle that God
was Great enough to give it
So remember when your down and out
or need to be embraced
the Love a Heart can give you
will take You any place

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
