Hunger

Hunger

Hunger.

As I land heavily onto soft black soil,

within the heart of my hunting ground,

my sins all hover over me.

...intolerable.

I rise hastily onto fractured feet,

without their support I fall back down.

So scared my mind has become unstable.

...unimaginable.

I accept unwittingly that I am incapable,

the weapon I hold has leaped from its bound.

So helpless my cries cry out for laughter.

...impossible.

My eyes soon are shut, still I see.

My body composes, I'm able to breathe.

My spirit escapes but fails to flee,

and my thoughts stray far from strategical.

I lay in animosity,

but grin from curiosity,

might there be left a luminosity,

if my soul had never devoured it all?
