    Human Nature

    We kill each other daily.
We're the first species to throw our own kind in cages.
Go to war with different nations.
Charge a fortune to go to school,
Then blame wasted lives on lack of education.
Hate is baggage grown into like a cheap suit.
Stagnation causes slavery no matter what you do.
    An evolutionary leap, I think,
Is the answer to what we all need to do.
    Until my consciousness can co-exist
With living in a world that's anew.
I'll stay lost but always looking for that first clue!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
