Homeless People
Watching all the homeles people wake from restless sleepDown the alleys live families, hungry children start to weep
All are lying in the alley way curled up on their side
Trying to keep the cold out of their boxes three feet wide
There's a bottle next to their daddy on the ground
Garbage cans provide their meals when they can be found
Shopping carts filled with all their possessions
Nothing can hide their deep, deep depression
They wear tattered clothing and have dirty, oily hair
Learning street survival through each other's care
Knowing each and every unlit corner brings a surprise
Always they walk through empty streets before sunrise
Hasselled each and every day and often without reason
Life's just one alarm clock they all know by seasons
Most will avoid them by going the other way
Not even stopping to give them the time of day
People in the streets grow tenfold each and every day
What's the world need to see,how much more must they pay?
Help a fallen brother, hold out that helping hand
Give them a chance, we all need to take a stand
