    Hold On

    Hold on, don't let go
Your true feelings, I want to know
How you feel, "please keep it real"
    Between me and you
    Give yourself time
    And think things through
Before you get up and walk away
    I've always hated, rainy days
Tears in heaven pouring down at me
I have no choice, but to let things be
The way they are, even though
You left a scar, inside of me
I hope that one day, "you'll be able to see"
That leaving me, was the best thing you have done
I have nothing left, "in this life you have won"
By getting up and walking away
It cuts like a knife, but I'll be okay
You've got my heart open wide
Because of you I lose my pride
My self esteem, I no longer care
I want to say thanks, "for the love we've shared
The memories we've had, "between the two of us"
Blew away, just like the dust
    "In the wind"
Slowly changing the hands of time
I know that one day, "you'll probably be mine
Again, and again I think of you
I know that one day, I'll make it through
To see the sun, instead of the rain
Slowly I'm getting over this pain
You have caused inside of me
I can't do much, but let it be
Just phone in and let the talking begin
Let me know about your situation
The one that's got you calling back to me
Asking for help, asking for me
Saying you miss the love that we've shared
Telling how much, "you want to be there"
That you miss me, and you need me
And I'm one of a kind
    Those words from your mouth
    Is what made me "blind"
Blinded, by your words, but never again
I'm sorry "Hunn", but this phone call has to end

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
