    His Eyes

He used to look at me
    With lustful eyes
    Eyes that shone so bright
    Eyes so blue
    They hypnotized my mind
I was once able to read them
    Today I fear them
    I look into his eyes
    And everything is gone
    The passion seems
    To be lost with time
    It hurts and I cry
The way he looks at me
With no passion in his gaze
    I look into his eyes
    And I see the blueness
    Of the lonely ocean
    Without a single wave
    The life drained from them
    Without a trace
No sign of what they used to be
    No stories do they tell
    No secrets do the hold
When I look into his eyes
    No passion do I find
    There is no trace
Of the man I used to know
Only the stranger they now behold
