High School Low
The world is buzzing around me,
but I cannot seem to care.
The chaos that surrounds me
is a snowflake in the air.
I walk along this lonesome hallway
that is fulled to the brim.
Everyone seems to come my way,
as the lights begin to dim.
I am frightened in this sanctuary,
where joyful voices can be heard.
This burden I am left to carry
is my only connection to the herd.
The greatest years of my life,
or so they all believe,
Turns out to be a terrible strife,
from which I long to leave.
but I cannot seem to care.
The chaos that surrounds me
is a snowflake in the air.
I walk along this lonesome hallway
that is fulled to the brim.
Everyone seems to come my way,
as the lights begin to dim.
I am frightened in this sanctuary,
where joyful voices can be heard.
This burden I am left to carry
is my only connection to the herd.
The greatest years of my life,
or so they all believe,
Turns out to be a terrible strife,
from which I long to leave.
