Hide 'N Seek ~ For One
Sometimes when life seems a struggle,
I think if not for the clouds
Why can't I see past to the clearing?
Save relief from me, under black shrouds?
When I try so hard to be all that I might,
yet only to fall a bit under par
To try and hang onto my dignity, I hide,
knowing that I've gone too far.
An aching in my innermost soul,
My regret so great, overwrought, I withdraw
Into my murky recesses of self-hate,
Odoriferous my swamp, isolated from view.
No one amongst you, even in love,
Dare enter my hollows of foreboding awe.
Beyond my fortress, is one powerful source,
He awaits to pull me through.
My Lord always finds me where ever I hide,
Hearing my silently sullen breath.
He lets me stay inside myself,
only long enough until refreshing tears flow
Renewing my heart, I vibrantly sing His song of Life,
Dwelling no more on death.
God pours His Grace, He fills my heart.
Forgiveness replacing my fears forgo!
Should you not see, and your path is not clear,
Pray and seek God, & His Love shall you find
Remember that you are never alone, He e'er is near.
All that seemed hopeless will now be left behind!
