Hidden By Tears
Darkness
Pain
An echo
You speak “hello?”
There is no answer
No one there
Have you been forgotten?
Left all alone?
You desperately search for a light
Another echo
Your vice asks “hello,
Anyone there?”
No answer
Realization seeps in
And darkness closes around
The pain begins to seer
You’ve been left alone
To fight the battle hidden by tears

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
