Guilt

Guilt

I see her in the mirror,
why the long face my sweet?
months gone by an still she dreams
only to touch that soft skin,
to hold close to her heart,
to feel each breath as she gently rocks her life to sleep
she craves the cries, even more the innocence of laughter.
She closes her eyes an makes a wish
hoping when she wakens, time has forgiven her
she opens her eyes, ever so slowly...
she still feels the pain,
I see myself in the mirror,
Why the long face my sweet

Its funny how mainly us females don't like what we see in the mirror every now and then. Love how you captured that!! Hope to see more from you soon.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
