    Poem Commentary

Every one should really honor you mother and all of your family members, because you never know when they might be gone.
I know people don't want to listen to it,because if someone told me this i wouldn't want to listen to it.I am the baby of the family and i do alot of fussing with my family members, but now on things will be different.I am going to love everyone even if i don't like them that much.

    GRANDADDY

I'm just sitting here thinking how i am so alone.
With you not here i can't call this place a home.
Now i am the only man in the house.
And it's not nothing really to talk about.

I wish that the last time i seen you.
I would of told you how i felt and how much that i love you.
Grandaddy you was there when no one else was.
I use to talk to you sometimes when my momma and I fussed.

I helped you when you was fixing your car.
And when i wanted help you would never be to far.
The time we spent when i was in middle school.
It could have been better if i wasn't acting a fool.

Now that your gone who going to help me become a man.
It's only ladies in the house they don't understand.
I know you love us more than life itself.
When you was in the hospital i wish i could help.

But it was god will and not mine.
To me your love will always shine.
Your in my heart and i want my soul like yours.
So we can be together for evermore.

If i see your picture above your casket.
It will seem as if it's not true i wish it could of lasted.
You without the family just seem so apart.
But you will R.I.P in our heart.

Oh my friend, like it or not you have become the family patriarch, and you are assuming the role very nicely. You are the man in the house and your grandaddy left the women in good hands. Your poem is a nice tribute to a person you loved. He knew you loved him so don't think of that. Remember just love the people and hate their funny little ways. A good lesson for all of us. Keep writing a very good poem. God Bless You.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
