God's Work

God's Work

When God positioned the world in place,
when he faultlessly set the planets up in space,
when He made the nations, placed the sea,
Created mankind of you and me
when he saw that everything was great
He put a wholehearted woman in place
A mother who for her child could go the extra mile
just to see her little one’s smile
She'll grind her fingers to the bone
Just to make a house a home
A mother who's just assistance
could elliminate the resistance
She'll lend a helping hand
Until you get your force to stand
A woman with a child doesn't make you a mother
But this woman Evie Nevels is like no other
She appears to  listens o so well
Never your secrets she would tell
She’ll influence you to stay strong
When everything seems to go wrong
That extra push is what she gives
Her name’s a legend, it’ll always live
I thank God for you in every single way
To you and to the mother board
I say to you
Happy Mother Appreciation Day

What great perception for someone so young. I started writing poetry when I was about 12 and it does help to deal with the unanswere questions of life. Bravo... Keep going..You're a great writer.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
