    Five Senses Of You

    I met you,
I met you in my dreams, in my desires, in my heart, soul and mind.
I met you late in my life when I thought time had ran out for me to find love, but as it seemed you appeared right on time.

I met you unexpectedly, at a time when I had given up on my hopes, and dreams.
I met when you first appealed not to my body but to my heart and opened doors in those secret places that were unknown forgotten and unseen.

    I saw you
I saw you when you shared stories of hurt and pain, how you gave your all and on your heart people walked.
I saw you when you sometimes cried and wondered what's wrong and why and nothing got better until it was to Jesus you talked.

    I heard you
I heard you when you spoke to my spirit that was dying of lack of love or the need to be wanted.
I heard you when walked into my life at this time and in this season and by fate and destiny you were appointed.

    I tasted you
I tased you when you simply blew me the kiss of honesty, truth and the purity of your heart.
I tasted you when in my secret desires, with my tongue I envisioned exploring your body in every section and in all parts.

    I touched you
I touched you when you touched my heart with the piece of your life you've shared with me so far.
I touched you when you told me you were ready to move on, although to trust another is not easy but somtimes hard.

    I smelled you
I smelled you when the essence of your spirit came and filled the lonely space inside of me.
I smelled you when you left the scent of your femininity and maturity all over my body,  for the inner man that was caged up, you set free.

I met, saw, heard, tasted, touched and smelled you at a time when my  heart had gotten tired and weary of waiting.
I met, saw, heard, tasted, touched and smelled you  when i stopped being a hater of those who had what i so badly wanted and started appreciating.
I met, saw, heard, tasted, touched and smelled you and I'm glad I did, for now i feel it's my time, my chance, my time to shine in the light called love.
I met, saw,  heard, tasted, touched, and smelled you although fearful of how things may turn out, but i'm willing to give and take and lend my trust.

So if things progress, please, please, take it slow and make sure it's worth your time, and when your heart and soul says yes, eventually I'll be yours and you'll be mine.

Loved this. First the title is true to the poem's content. It is a true love poem but not the usual mundane hearts and flowers variety. The theme was very true to your title and the rhythm was constant from start to end. In this poem you reveal the metamorphosis that brought your character maturity. Great write.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
