    first encounter

    softly, softly
    our lips brush together
    barely a touch
    hummingbird tongue
and the beat of a heart
    as we embrace
the knot of our limbs entwined
how can i press you closer
how do i hold you nearer
i long to feel all of your body
i yearn to feel all of your skin
    my words are inadequate
    there is no language
    no verbal expression
    that explains my desire

    heat and fury
    you writhe and bend
press hard against my aching body
    devour me with your kisses
i press hard against your flesh
    grip tight to angles divine
    pull you in close
    heat burns away doubt
    passion removes questions

mmmm! very nice. Everything you would want to feel and experience in a first encounter. Very visual I enjoyed.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
