Fantastic Fantasies
Take this blanket from my eyes
So I’ll believe in lulabyes
The legends of so long ago
That stir within me things I know.
Of fables, neither fake nor lies
Knights on dragons search the skies
In hopes to find an ivory castle
Rescue damsels from iron tassels.
Bars of steel that keep me bound
Melt like wax upon the ground
Firey dragon’s breath aglow
My knight will vanquish all my foes.
Hidden secrets in a box
Within a sacred garden, locked
Where my soul will be set free
To ponder all life’s mysteries.
A small black mask, a cheap disguise
That barely covers up my eyes
My heart is full of mystery
And fairy tales meant just for me!
