Falling Friendship

It seems you find a new friend,

And soon after,

You kick the old ones to the wind.

We have been through thick and thin

Good and bad

I would have been there until the end.

And around she comes,

Good bye I go.

Tis the end of us

At least that’s how it seems.

A text every day, that’s how it used to be.

And it’s been a week ago today.

I guess I am easy to forget.

After all, I am not living the life you wish I had.

A family, a child, school and all.

So far apart, our friendship does fall!

First I want to thank you and your husband for the sacrifice that you make for our Nation. I have a military family my father is a Marine and my brother is in the Navy. This poem is beautifully written. The true facts about how some friendships fade because of lifes directions in each others lives is brilliantly portrayed in your write. Happy New Year!!

Poetry is what is lost in translation.
