    Everyday I Wake

Everyday I wake to a world that is so bizarre
with every twist you don't see just may take
you to your knees, you work so hard to get by.

Believing, hoping, and wishing on a star.  Looking for a life of love but to expect too much
leads to disappointment, no expectations, then no pain.

    Disappointment lurking in every corner,
experience in years of life.  Has made me so
very cold, just want someone to hold.

My heart, my fate, my love so Bold.  Hopefully,
    will withstand the cold.
