Anger Fades With the Passage of Time

    When you love someone
    believe in someone
    and they betray you
    anger keeps you warm.
    Anger becomes your best friend,
your lover, and in the end,
you find it is a cold,
    life essence black hole.
    When you carry it around
    your heart becomes old.
    Then one day, you find
    out, that the one who
    betrayed you was not worth
    the emotion of anger that
sucks the life out of your soul.
    Maybe you can't forgive
    but you can look back
    and realize that no matter
    what they have done
life seems to have a way
    giving them what they get.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
