    Everlasting Search

An ardent gape of mine never goes in vain,
As I did hope ever for want of nectar
Naught could I do, just delve around
    Who so yet I convened,
    Sought something or the other,
    In swap over my covet
    Be it voracity of riches,
    Or the gluttony for power,
Either of odium, or of conceit
Prejudice was not in the left over.

    The vicinity bounded by melancholy
    Never clogged my way
    I received showers of flatter,
Into the bargain, few droplets of taunt
    Egocentric stance aimed of hindrance
    But ended in futility
Such was my grit all along.
All I did seek out the nectar.
Sooner or later I will gain what I yearn for
In the form of an altruistic creature

The nector of the Gods quite often demoralizes rather then imortalizes. Perhaps that is why mythology is filled with stories of their fall.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
