Eternity is waiting

I read your poems of yesterday.
I see how much you loved her.
I wish everyday it had been me.
I would have never let you down like she.

But now I read your poems today.
Though it is not love in your words,
They are still twisted with her.

Will you ever let her go?
Will you ever see what is in front of you?
My heart and soul filled with love.

I have wanted you for years.
Waited for your touch.
Wondered if you would ever be mine.

Now here you are, but are you truly?
Where does your heart lie?
Where is your mind these days?

I Love you with every fiber of my being.
Being your wife is a wonderful thing.
But do I have to be gone for you to notice?

You dwell so much on what is lost.
Though your words have turned to hate,
they are always on her these days.

Will you ever let her go?
Because waiting for you,is an eternity
of love and caring, trust and sharing.
Our eternity is waiting!!

I am not all consumed with her... I can see what is before me... I love you more than I can say, I only wish you knew that

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
