    Engaged

Sometimes a beautiful day just isn’t enough

Sometimes a calming see appears a bit too rough

Sometimes that gentile breeze will test my concentration

And sometimes I just can’t find any rest or relaxation

There are days when a bird in song is painful to my ears

There are days when friendly chatter can near bring me to tears

There are days, when the sun is setting, that I’d rather look away

And there are days when I say, today is not my day

Yet every time I see you beauty takes a whole new meaning

And every time, your touch gives me a calming feeling

Every time you gently whisper it inspires a revelation

And every time that we’re together the world goes on vacation

Every day your voice to me is a singer’s perfected craft

And every day our mundane conversations make me laugh

Everyday I realize I could look into your eyes for all my life

And every day will be my day, when you become my wife

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
